When using the LendMax Loan App, two of the most important things every borrower should know are:

How to check their current loan balance, and
How to extend or increase their repayment date when repayment time is close.

Many borrowers end up paying unnecessary late fees because they don’t know how to properly track their loan balance or request a repayment extension before the due date.

This guide explains every step, from checking your loan balance to applying for a date increase directly through the LendMax app.

How to Check Loan Account Balance on LendMax

There are three main methods to check your current loan balance, repayment due date, and outstanding amount.

Method 1 – Using the LendMax Mobile App

  1. Open the LendMax app on your Android phone.
  2. Log in with your registered phone number and PIN.
  3. On the dashboard, you’ll see your loan summary—total borrowed, amount repaid, and outstanding balance.
  4. Tap on “My Loan” or “Active Loan” to view full details, including:
    • Principal amount
    • Interest amount
    • Total repayment
    • Next due date
    • Payment breakdown

Tip: LendMax automatically updates your balance in real-time after every repayment you make.

Method 2 – Via Loan Reminder SMS or Email

  • LendMax sends reminder SMS and email updates 3–5 days before your due date.
  • The message includes your exact outstanding balance and the repayment date.
  • You can also use that SMS as a quick check without logging in.

Method 3 – Contacting LendMax Support

If you don’t have app access or need a breakdown:

  • Email: support@lendmax.ng
  • In-app chat: Help → Customer Service
  • Provide your registered phone number and loan reference ID.
They’ll reply with your current loan balance and repayment details within 24 hours.

How to Increase or Extend Your LendMax Repayment Date

LendMax allows verified users to request a repayment date extension (also called “loan rollover”) once per loan cycle.
This option is not automatic, it must be requested before your due date.

Here’s the step-by-step process:

Step 1 – Open the LendMax App

Log in using your registered phone number and 4-digit PIN.

Step 2 – Go to “My Loan” Section

You’ll see your current loan with a visible Repayment Due Date and Amount Due.

Step 3 – Tap the “Extend Repayment” or “Postpone” Option

If you’re eligible, you’ll see a button labeled Extend,” “Increase Repayment Date,” or “Rollover.”
Tap it to start your extension process.

Step 4 – Select Extension Period

You can choose an additional 3 to 14 days, depending on your loan type and repayment record.
A small extension fee (service charge) will apply.

Step 5 – Confirm and Submit

Review the new due date, confirm the charge, and submit your request.
You’ll get an SMS and in-app confirmation once your repayment date has been successfully extended. g

Note: You must apply before your loan expires.
Once your loan is marked “Overdue,” the system automatically starts adding penalties, and extension will no longer be available.

Key Conditions for Repayment Date Extension

Condition Explanation
Active Loan Only You can’t extend a completed or defaulted loan.
Good Repayment Record Borrowers with consistent repayment history have higher extension limits.
Service Charge Applies Small fee is added to allow date increase.
Request Before Due Date Must be submitted before midnight of the due date.
App-Only Feature Extension can’t be done via SMS or USSD. Only through app.

What Happens If You Miss the Due Date?

If you don’t extend or repay by your due date:

  • A daily late fee starts applying immediately.
  • Your credit score inside the app drops, affecting future loan limits.
  • The app starts sending reminder SMS until repayment is completed.

LendMax doesn’t send public or defaming messages to your contacts, but it may contact you directly via call or SMS for repayment follow-up.

How to Repay Easily (After Checking Balance)

After confirming your outstanding loan balance, you can repay directly using any of these methods:

  1. Inside the App → “Repay Now”
    • Select your active loan.
    • Choose payment method (card, bank transfer, or USSD).
    • Confirm and complete payment.
  2. Bank Transfer Option (For Some Users)
    • LendMax provides a unique account number under your name (Virtual Account).
    • Send repayment directly to that account.
  3. Auto-Debit (Optional)
    • You can activate auto-debit so the app deducts repayment automatically on the due date.

After repayment, you’ll instantly receive a confirmation SMS, and your dashboard will reset to ₦0 outstanding balance.
