ASUS Opens First West African Flagship Store in Lagos to Bring Latest Devices Closer to Nigerians
Nigerians can now get closer to the latest laptops, gaming machines and artificial intelligence-powered computers with the opening of ASUS’ first flagship experience store in West Africa.
The new store, launched in partnership with Konga, is located in Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, and was officially commissioned by the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh.
ASUS Experience Store Opens in Lagos
The new flagship centre is designed to give Nigerian consumers direct access to genuine ASUS products while allowing them to experience the devices before making a purchase.
Visitors can explore a range of products, including premium laptops, gaming systems, AI-powered PCs and other new-generation technology.
One of the major attractions is an interactive digital display that allows customers to virtually explore ASUS technologies and product features. The setup is intended to make it easier for shoppers to understand what different devices offer before spending their money.
The partnership also comes with an added benefit for customers. ASUS devices purchased through the new experience centre or online through Konga will come with a one-year replacement warranty at no additional cost.
Minister Calls Store a Boost for Nigeria’s Digital Economy
Speaking at the commissioning, Dr Udeh described the new facility as more than a conventional technology retail outlet.
According to him, the arrival of the flagship ASUS store reflects growing confidence in Nigeria’s technology and innovation ecosystem while creating a stronger connection between international technology brands and local consumers.
He also stressed the importance of collaboration between government and private businesses in achieving Nigeria’s broader economic ambitions.
The minister said stronger public-private partnerships would be critical to building an economy capable of reaching the Federal Government’s one-trillion-dollar target, with businesses driving innovation and government creating an enabling environment.
Leo Stan Ekeh Gets New Innovation Role
The commissioning also highlighted the contribution of Zinox Group Chairman, Leo Stan Ekeh, to Nigeria’s technology industry.
Dr Udeh praised Ekeh for decades of entrepreneurship and for his role in helping shape the country’s technology ecosystem.
The minister further announced that Ekeh would champion the Federal Government’s Youth and Students in Innovation initiative, a programme focused on helping young Nigerians develop technology, entrepreneurship and innovation skills.
The initiative is expected to strengthen opportunities for young people interested in building businesses and careers around technology.
What the New ASUS Store Means for Nigerian Consumers
The launch gives consumers in Nigeria another avenue to experience premium technology products physically rather than relying entirely on online descriptions or third-party sellers.
With products ranging from everyday laptops to gaming hardware and AI-enabled computers, the experience centre could also make newer technologies more accessible to Nigerian shoppers looking for authentic devices and after-sales protection.
The opening of the Lagos store further reflects the growing competition among global technology brands to establish a stronger presence in Nigeria’s fast-expanding consumer technology market.
