Open Space Launches AI and Ethical Finance Fintech Platform in Abuja

A new fintech initiative known as Open Space is launching in Abuja, Nigeria with a dual focus on artificial intelligence tools and ethical or non-interest financial products.

Chief executive Titus Ikeh introduced the company as seeking to marry modern digital infrastructure to finance structures that reflect ethical principles.

The technical aspect is led by the chief technology officer Ololade Otayemi who stressed the need to strip away complexity for users while managing to support sophisticated underlying products.

A Shariah advisory has been woven into the design from the ground up, giving the firm a position of being able to marry technology and financial structures based on ethical and non-interest principles.

The launch will target individual and business customers who remain outside or underserved by conventional banking.

Approximately one in four Nigerian adults still lacks access to formal financial services according to recent inclusion data, leaving a substantial potential market for platforms that seek to make financial products more accessible and understandable.

Open Space is entering into a crowded space but differentiates itself by marrying AI-assisted decision tools and ethical product structures into the same customer interface.

The company will face the challenge of turning that approach advantage into regular customer activity in a market populated by banks, digital lenders, payment companies and other fintech platforms.

Early commentary within fintech founder networks has focused on whether the dual approach can attract deposits and transaction volume quickly enough to be sustainable.

The company has not yet released detailed funding figures, keeping the early attention on product positioning and regulatory readiness.

For Open Space, the early phase will be less about standing out due to the launch and more about demonstrating that the AI and ethical-finance approach can translate into sustained usage among both individuals and businesses.
